Biostratigraphic and paleozoogeographic review of the upper aptian-albian ostracods of Riachuelo Formation, Sergipe-Alagoas basin, northeastern Brazil.

Abstract

The present work is a biostratigraphic and paleozoogeographic revision of the upper Aptian-Albian ostracods of the Riachuelo Formation, in the Sergipe-Alagoas Basin, northeastern Brazil. Its main objectives are to upgrade the biostratigraphic framework based on ostracods for the Albian of the basin and to re-evaluate the correlations between the ostracod biozones and those based on planktic and benthic foraminifera and cephalopods.
