Perspectivas de contribuições técnico-científicas para a gestão costeira no Brasil

Abstract

The reasoning about the implementation of public policies is still essentially seen only on procedural grounds, without a strategy so that in the implementation phase the policy can still undergo adjustments and planning with mainly integration of all the involved entities, with weightings until its fully functioning. Public policy and spatial planning policies fit in this context, with a series of rules and extensive legislation which has had little direct effect on use and occupation, especially in the sphere of coastal management, where little has incorporated knowledge and technical-scientific work, often resulting in the waste of public resources with the implementation of works and engineering interventions on the coast, which end up accelerating further erosion or moving to other regions. In this work some scientific contributions to coastal management are listed, showing research and science come to contribute a lot to Integrated Coastal Zone Management in Brazil.
